Halloween Trivia Night: 40 Questions, Answers and a Quiz Video

By the Quiz Zoomies team · October 17, 2026

Here are 40 Halloween trivia questions with answers, split into four rounds of 10 that climb from Easy to Impossible, the same format as our Halloween quiz video. Read them out at a party, print them for a classroom, or put the video on the big screen and let teams play along. Everything is family-friendly, and the answers are in bold after each question. For even more spooky questions, open the Halloween trivia bank.

How to run a Halloween trivia night

  • Teams of 3 to 5 work best for families. Mix kids and adults so every team has someone for the Easy round and someone for the Impossible one.
  • One point per answer, two points for anything from the Impossible round.
  • Dress the room, not the quiz. Pumpkins on the tables and a spooky playlist set the mood; keep the questions themselves clear and simple to read.
  • Use the video as round five. Our Halloween Quiz video has its own 40 questions, different from the ones below, with a timer built in, so it works as a bonus round with no host needed.
  • Prizes: a bag of candy for the winners and a “best costume on the winning team” award keeps everyone happy.
