quizzoomies.com is run by the Quiz Zoomies team. You can reach us at [email protected].

Quizzes and scores

Quizzes run entirely in your browser: your answers and scores are not sent to any server. When you use the Share button, the text is handed to your device's share menu or copied to your clipboard, and you decide where it goes.

Accounts

A free account unlocks full quiz rounds, every generator spin and the full version of some blog posts. You can create one with Google sign-in, or with a sign-in link we email to you (there is no password).

An account stores:

• your email address;
• if you sign in with Google: the name and profile picture link your Google account shares, the identifier Google gives us for your account and the sign-in tokens Google issues;
• your answer to the optional "What are you here for?" question;
• the page you signed up from;
• when the account was created and when your sign-in sessions start and expire.

This is kept in a Postgres database on a server we rent from Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland. Sign-in emails are sent through Amazon Simple Email Service. We use your email address to sign you in and for messages about your account. If we ever send you anything else, such as notes on making quiz videos, every email will include a way to stop them. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Signing in sets a session cookie, plus short-lived security cookies during sign-in. They are essential for the account to work, they are not used for advertising, and signing in adds no ad tracking.

To delete your account and everything stored with it, email [email protected] from the address on the account.

Information stored on your device

Some quizzes and tools may remember small preferences on your device (for example the last filter you picked) using your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

YouTube videos

Video pages show a preview image from YouTube. The YouTube player itself only loads after you press play, and it loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once you play a video, Google's privacy policy applies to that player: policies.google.com/privacy.

Analytics

Today the site does not run analytics. We may add privacy-respecting measurement later (such as Google Analytics 4 or Microsoft Clarity) to learn which quizzes people enjoy and to fix pages that do not work well. If we do, this page will be updated first and will list each service, what it collects and how to opt out.

Children

Quiz Zoomies is family-friendly, and the free questions on every quiz need no personal information. Accounts are for people aged 13 and over: younger players can use an account a parent or teacher creates. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we delete any account we learn belongs to one.

Hosting

Like every website, our hosting provider processes basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
