How Quiz Zoomies Videos Are Made in Code
By the Quiz Zoomies team · October 17, 2026
Every Quiz Zoomies video is made entirely in code, from the first question to the last frame of the last Short. There is no video editor, no camera and no microphone. If you want to build a quiz channel, or earn from one without spending your evenings in an editing timeline, this is the method we use, step by step.
Here is what runs on its own. A question file goes in. A script writes every spoken line, a text-to-speech voice reads them, and the length of each clip sets the pacing. A web page draws every scene, a headless browser (a web browser with no window) captures it 30 times a second, a mixer lays the music, voice and sound effects together, and the same timeline is cut into vertical Shorts and a thumbnail. What comes out is a 1920 by 1080 long video, most of them 10 to 15 minutes, plus up to eight Shorts of about a minute each.
A production day looks like this: write and fact-check the question file, generate the script, voice it, build the timeline, mix the sound, render the long video and the Shorts, check every answer reveal, then upload. The Shorts go out one hour apart, and each one links back to the part before it.
The full post covers every step after the question file: how the script and voice are generated and why they decide the timing, how scenes are drawn in HTML, how the frame-by-frame render runs in parallel, what the sound mix does, how the Shorts and thumbnails are cut, and the full list of tools by name.
One honest note: the channel is young. This is the method, not a results claim, so you will not find view counts or earnings here.
1. The question file
Every episode lives in a single data file. For a trivia episode it holds 30 to 195 questions, each with its answer, three wrong options, a difficulty level (Easy, Medium, Hard or Impossible) and a picture clue: an emoji, a flag, a country outline or a photo. Picture episodes also store a credit for every photo.
This is also where the facts are checked. Capitals, populations and “firsts” are compared against reliable references before a question makes it into the file, and anything that changes over time (like population figures) is rounded and dated. The same files feed this website, which is why every episode page can list the exact questions and answers from its video.
